Key feature of the splineTEX® process is the flexible preform consisting of braided sleeves embedded in between an in- and outliner. Different sleeve combinations can be manufactured individually for prototypes while over braiding is a cost effective solution for high volume production.
There is a huge variety of forming options available which can cover any customer needs. From low cost molds for prototypes to heated aluminum molds for huge quantities – in any case you get the best price performance ratio.
Infiltration of the preform is done with epoxy or polyurethane resin. The process used is either an RTM or a vacuum injection process.
Preform Preparation Forming
After curing inliner and outliner are removed. In order to increase the glass transition temperature the finished product can be reheated.
