The superTEX composites GmbH offers four product groups. Springs, tubes, structural elements and industrial design applications can be easily manufactured with the splineTEX® process.
Glass fiber composite springs are now able to replace conventional steel springs. The major advantage is a weight reduction up to 50%. This helps not only the energy efficiency of vehicles but also reduces the sprung mass at the same time. Other benefits include corrosion and chemical resistance. These properties qualify the glass fiber composite spring not only for the automotive industry, but also specifically for applications e.g. in devices and systems which are in contact with sea water or salty air.
Pipes made of splineTEX® are pressure-resistant, liquid-tight and resistant to media. The carbon tubes achieve a maximum length of 3.5 m, are thin walled and are therefore ideal for light weight pipe systems. In case of more complex systems, branches can be formed.
Components made of Carbon fiber are not only extremely light but are, given a proper layout, more rigid than steel. In order to achieve this the fiber angles can be optimized individually depending on the main load direction.
The flexible shaping and the different materials open up a wide range of design possibilities. Besides carbon and glass fibers also natural fibers such as flax or jute can be processed. Different color effects can be achieved by coloring the resin and LEDs make splineTEX® components an illuminated object.
