about superTEX

superTEX is a spin-off company founded in 2011, which commercializes the splineTEX® technology created at the University of Innsbruck.

superTEX, which began as a research project at the Leopold-Franzens University in Innsbruck under the leadership of architect DI Valentine Troi in 2008, deals with textile processing of fiber-reinforced plastics.

superTEX investigates building materials and manufacturing technologies regarding the contemporary requirement of free formability and develops new materials and shaping technologies suitable for the digital realization of generated freeform structures.

first Prototype: superTEXbar 2009

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Innsbruck, superTEX developed and implemented the first 1:1 prototype of the >>superTEXbar, a bar element and information point using splineTEX® technology. A large-scale constructive 3D textile made of fiber-reinforced plastic.

The development of the bar marks the material-technological invention of >>splineTEX®
The technology is continuously improved in collaboration with industry and research partners.
In the fall of 2010, splineTEX® was first presented at the „Composite Europe“ trade show in Essen. For 2011, trade show appearances are planned in Paris (JEC), Milan (salone del mobile) and Stuttgart (Composite Europe).

superTEX SPIN-OFF
In Februar 2011, the research and development team of four for superTEX, was spun off under the leadership of Valentine Troi.
